You know what Kia needs to make? A high-performance Optima, a la Fusion Sport. With AWD and a tuned version of the 2.0 turbo.

Kinja'd!!!

And cloth seats on all trims, but that’s wishful thinking. And that diamond stitching is pretty enough to make me dislike leather a little less.

It will be an attractive WRX. Would there be anyone buying it though.

Probably not.

But it would be cool, and that’s the point!

ME!! Though the Forte would be the WRX. Optima would be some kind of Legacy with the 3.6 replaced for the STI engine. Legacy WRX? Hmmm...

Better yet, put the Lambda in it.

With a supercharger.

Because why not.

Well, I’m not too sure about that with how big the WRX has become. It looks like a midsize sedan to me. I’d wager that the dimensions are similar to midsize sedans like the Optima

The Koreans really have come a long way.

What about a down market car based on the K900 or Genesis? Cloth seats, steel wheels. $25k rwd sedan.

A more basic variant of something like the K900 or the G80 would actually be pretty sweet.

I’d like them make any sort of real “performance” car. Since the Rio does so well in Pirelli World Challenge, maybe a fast Rio?

Or even a sporty rwd car from Kia. The Genesis is still kinda mundane. Kia is kinda a sportier Hyundai.

Instead of marketing at the luxury sedan, go against the US sports sedans. I think they could easily build a better Charger and maybe even compete with the SS.
